With a background in business administration, management and
organizational development, Michael Kitchens brings a wealth
of experience to his position as operations manager for Window
Media. Prior to joining the company in 1999, he worked for several
corporations, including RJR Nabisco, PepsiCo and KFC National
Management Co. In addition, he served as proprietor of a successful
nightclub in Macon, GA, and co-founded MGPWA, one of the South's
first AIDS service organizations, which has become a leading
model for similar organizations.

Steve is responsible for the development and maintenance of internal accounting controls, accounting policy and procedure, day to day accounting, finance, cash management and human resource operations, as well as assisting Mr. Polimino in preparing the Company’s periodic financial reports. Steve brings to Window-Media over 16 years of external audit and industry accounting/management experience. Prior to joining the Window-Media management team, Steve worked at Graphic Packaging Corporation, a multi-national manufacturer of paperboard and paperboard packaging products. Steve was employed by Graphic Packaging Corporation for over 9 years in progressive positions in the corporate accounting group, most recently as Vice President and Corporate Controller. Previous to employment with Graphic Packaging Corporation, Steve worked as an external audit manager for Deloitte & Touche in Atlanta, GA and Pittsburgh, PA. Steve is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania (B.B.A.) and has been a C.P.A. since 1991.

Bill brings a wealth of expertise to the role, having worked
with blue chip brands and national advertisers as Merchandising
Director for American Express Publishing’s Travel + Leisure
Magazine and at Hearst’s Harper’s Bazaar. He began
his career as a publicist for Miramax films and in the newsroom
for The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, as well . Bill heads up marketing
for the entire company and works closely with the sales team
to promote Window Media’s suite of publications on a local
and national level. He oversees sponsorships, publicity and
special events, as well as helps to create cross-platform marketing
programs and the company’s overall web strategy. Bill
holds a Ph.D. in Media Studies Northern Arizona University,
as well as a M.S. & B.S.

Brown has 20 years experience in sales and marketing, most recently as the Director of Business Development for the Washington based news magazine Metro Weekly. Brown returns to Washington Blade where she helped to create 18-years of exponential growth. Brown’s business experience includes sales, customer relations, marketing, training, business administration, and personnel management in the print, auto, and hospitality industries. In March 2007, Brown was awarded “Business Person of the Year” by PEN, Metro Washington’s LGBT Chamber of Commerce, where she also serves on the Board alongside serving on the Board of DC’s Rape Crises Center. She has been an active member of the Lesbian and Gay Chorus of Washington, a life time Girl Scout, a Casey Tree Foundation volunteer and is a member of All Souls Memorial Episcopal Church. Brown was born, raised and educated in New York State, where she graduated from Syracuse University. She lives in Washington, DC with her life partner. They have two daughters, six grandchildren and of course, a standard poodle.

Publisher, Express South Florida & 411 Magazine
Kevin Hopper has represented the Express in may capacities
since it's conception in January, 2000. In December of 2003,
Unite Media purchased the Express and Kevin was promoted to
Sales Manager. In the spring of 2005, Unite acquired 411
Magazine, a South Florida's arts and entertainment magazine,
which Kevin also managed. Kevin has played an integral
part in taking Express News and 411 Magazine to a prestigious
level highly respected within the community. In September
of 2006, Kevin was promoted to Publisher of both Express and
411 Magazine.

Kevin Loren Smith first joined Southern Voice in an administration
capacity in 2002 with experience in areas as diverse as web
design, office administration, marketing, event planning, sales,
and bookkeeping. Subsequently, he stepped into the role as Assistant
Director of Sales where he supervised all Window Media and Unite
Media publications. Now based in Washington, DC, as director
of projects and planning, he oversees planning, budgeting, strategic
analysis, special projects (including acquisitions) and implementation
and integration within the company. In 2001, Smith received
his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition at the University
of Texas at Austin, where he also held concentrations in Radio,
Television, Film and Playwriting.
